Brewer's Blog - A Few Quick Thoughts

Wow! It has been a whirlwind summer and even though we barely have time to catch our

breath between projects, meetings and stacks of application paperwork, I wanted to jump on here and give anyone who is checking up on us a well deserved update.

FARMERS MARKETS- It has been so great to meet everyone who comes out on Saturday mornings to enjoy the awesome atmosphere that Prior Lake's Farmers Market brings to our downtown. Kevin and I lost track of how many impromptu "tours" we had given to interested passers by after the second day. Needless to say, we are exceedingly grateful for all of the interest and community support we have received and we are increasingly anxious to have all of you back in the finished taproom to pour you a pint and show you our finished space as we envisioned it.

CHARITY EVENTS- We were very honored to be invited to a few charity events this summer, a few of which happened to be at some local golf courses. We channeled our inner Rodney Dangerfield and converted an old golf bag into a keg tapper for a Heffeweizen at the Rick Stuhr

Memorial golf tournament and handed out samples of our Vienna Lager on the 14th tee box of

Legends Golf Course for this year’s Putt with Pete. A big thanks to Ted Nytes and his crew at HomeTown Bats for letting us contribute to the Homerun Derby they put on at the Union Hill Ballpark. We are already working on some custom brew ideas for next years great causes, but we have to jump through a lot of hoops before we can buckle down for any more major events.

LAKEFRONT DAYS- This was our first year in the parade and we were so thrilled with the whole weekend. Soren had a blast waving to the whole town as he cruised Main Ave in his Keg-Pontoon. Sorry that we ran out of coozies and wristbands by the end of the run but we will have more fun stuff on hand for next year, we promise. It was also the first time we got to test out our tasting board with 4 faucets on it. A big thank you to Sandi Fleck and the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce for putting on another fantastic Lakefront Days and letting us hang out in the beer tent with all you awesome people.

Like the title said, just a few quick thoughts. Now back to the brewery to work on more prep for the remodel. Cheers!
